ReliPoietin (rHuEPO Alfa) is a glycoprotein composed of 165 amino acids. It has a molecular weight of approximately 30,400 daltons. It is manufactured using recombinant DNA technology. In addition, erythropoietin influences the survival of red blood cell progenitors in the bone marrow. Erythropoietin also has immunomodulatory activity. ReliPoietin is available as single-use prefilled syringes.
ReliPoietin is a transparent liquid. rHuEPO is an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA) and is used for (treatment of anemia associated with chronic renal failure, treatment with cancer patients on chemotherapy, reduction of allogeneic blood transfusions in surgery patient). Store between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.
