Rituximab

Rituxirel® contains the active substance 'rituximab'. This is a type of protein called a "monoclonal antibody." It attaches to the surface of a type of white blood cell called "B lymphocytes." When rituximab binds to the surface of these cells, it causes them to die. Rituxirel® will be given to you by a doctor or health care personnel experienced in the use of this medicine. You will be monitored during administration of Rituxirel® for any side effects.

Rituxirel® will always be given to you as an intravenous infusion (drip). Store in a refrigerator (2°C - 8 °C). Keep the container in the outer carton in order to protect from light. For storage conditions after dilution of the medicinal product. Rituxirel® can be used in adults to treat several diseases.
